What curriculum do you use?
Our curriculum is the CIPP syllabus Cambridge International Primary Program.
Will transportation be provided?
During the 2018-2019 academic year, there are two routes given for the 8:30 AM, 9:30 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM timings providing transportation for the majority of students requiring it.
Who will teach my children?
We provide gifted local teachers, as well as US and UK on site consultants to administer the Cambridge curriculum. Students will be in multi-grade classrooms to foster peer mentoring between students. Parent volunteers are encouraged in various areas.
Who runs the school?
The school is run by an administrative Board of Directors under Common Grounds Foundation, which is made up of Indian nationals. The board consults with individuals from the UK and US.

Will food be provided?
A vegetarian lunch is provided daily alternating Indian and Continental cuisine. Children need to bring their own snack, water bottle, and eat breakfast before leaving home.
Where is the school located?
Our KG sections, Nursery to UKG, are located in Eranhipalam, Calicut.
Our new primary campus within Calicut city is currently being acquired and under contract. Stay tuned for information on this new location!
When does school begin?
For the 2018-2019 school year, the first day of classes commenced on June 4, 2018.
Nursery, and Play Class LKG begin each day at 9:30 AM and ends at 1:00 PM and UKG through 8th standard begin at 8:30 AM and end at 3:30 PM with holidays coinciding with other local schools. Please consult the academic calendar for more details.

Will you offer extracurricular activities?
Training up the whole child and having fun while learning are values of CGIA thus we seek to offer a variety of extra curricular activities. This includes two sessions of Physical Education, a Lego Technics class, an Art class, and a visit to the school library every week. Additionally, each classroom teacher will conduct monthly units on topics such as: poetry, drama, memory enhancement, and current event studies.
Also students will be able to make a choice each week from at least two topics such as: dance, vocal instruction, gardening, baking, and painting.
Does my child need to know English?
Students at the Play School and LKG level may begin their introduction to the English language with us.
Students studying in UKG and beyond should have a firm grasp of the language as Common Grounds is an English Medium school.
